Meet the Team
With a wealth of boudoir photography experience to draw on and my trademark easygoing attitude, I’ll make your experience amazing and your photos even better.
Kristina is a professional makeup artist. Not only will she make you look stunning, she will stay to style the entire shoot and provide female moral support where you need it.
The shoot is quite flexible and normally includes two sets of images taken – i.e. two different outfits and backgrounds/studio sets. You will have the option to do “how to look good naked” artistic nude or implied nude photos too.
If you want to shoot on location, get in touch to discuss the details in advance.
We’ll talk before and during about the style of photos, so you’ll never have to show more than you’re comfortable with – or alternatively you won’t miss out on doing the nude shots you’ve psyched yourself up for!
You will be greeted by me (your boudoir photographer, Tim) and your personal make-up artist Kristina. You can have a glass of bubbly or nice cup of tea when you arrive, while we work out the details for your session, makeup and studio sets.
Your makeover is also a good time to chat and ask any questions about the shoot, but also to make you feel relaxed and at ease. Kristina will be available throughout your photo session to touch up your makeup and help with posing, styling and female moral support.
No-one you don’t want to!
The only people who will see your photographs will be you, your photographer and your makeup artist. We’re not going to post them on Facebook or Instagram, or show them to anyone else.
However, if you’d be happy for us to use any of your images on the website, please tell us!
Yes, although you can choose not to have it if you prefer. Most ladies take the makeover option – Kristina is a professional makeup artist and will make you look amazing.
If you prefer to do it yourself or bring a friend to help that’s fine too, just mention this when booking.
Yes. Photographer Tim is an expert using the Photoshop suite, and your images are individually retouched, unless you request otherwise. We can smooth skin, remove blemishes, scars and tattoos. Talk to Tim about specifics beforehand or on the day of your photo session.
There are all sorts of items you can bring with you, here are a few ideas:
Basque or Corset
Bra and knickers set
Tiara or veil
Silk dressing gown
Birthday Suit 😉
Make sure you bring items you are comfortable wearing. Key pieces can be accessorised with jewelry, hats, materials, shoes and vintage pieces.
Have a think about the photos you like – how do you want to appear? Get some ideas from magazines, or the blog, or find some online. Do you want to shoot in lingerie, or do you want to do some artistic nude shots too?
Before your shoot, don’t forget to wax or shave. It’s best not to fake tan just before your shoot, leave it at least one week before your date.
Try on your underwear to make sure you like it and its fits well.
If you’re a bride to be, bring some of your wedding accessories and underwear.
Yes. You can bring a selection of outfits – typically, we shoot two sets. Kristina will be on hand to restyle your makeup to suit the photographs (unless you’ve chosen to do your own hair and makeup of course!)
You’ll be invited back to the studio to view your images and order your photos – prices are here. If you’ve travelled a particularly long way we can make arrangements for online viewing, but it really is best done in person.
Please rest assured that our packages are not of the “try to sell you all your images afterwards” variety, as is so often found with other photographers. We much prefer to be honest, open and clear about everything from the outset. So that’s nice, isn’t it?
Yes! Boudoir is for every woman. We’re very experienced in lighting and posing, so will be able to make you look your best, no matter what your age or size.
It’s quite normal to be nervous when booking a boudoir session, but we will put you at ease and the session will be at your own pace.
Kristina, your personal makeup artist, remains on hand throughout your shoot to provide moral support and advise on styling. Your photographer, Tim, is indeed a man, but is a consummate professional with years of experience, a very relaxed attitude and easy-going manner.
Remember that most people feel nervous at the beginning of their shoot, but all end up looking and feeling amazing. The photos in our gallery are mainly “real women” – i.e. past customers who felt just as nervous as you before their shoot! (Please remember that they’ve specifically given us permission to use their pictures – no one sees them who you don’t want to!)
We hold most sessions for boudoir photography in Folkestone, Kent, at my studio. However, if you would like to use a hotel, or if your home is suitable (or garden, if private) or another location, this can be arranged. Just ask when you contact us.
We don’t expect so, no.
